The tasty veggie dogs of le Tricycle are made from wheat and soya smoked over beechwood, then tucked into lightly toasted finger rolls and topped with different combinations of fresh salad and vegetables. Most of the Hot dog names follow a hip-hop theme for some reason, with the ‘Dogtor Dre’ a standout for both its excellently bad pun and its superb blend of textures and flavours (crispy fried onions, guacamole and a cool ‘sauce chien’ – fresh tomato, coriander and onions). Inside the beautiful and tiny restaurant with a leafy greenery hanging above the doorway and the eponymous vehicle parked out front, the owners Coralie Jouhier and Daqui Comis have really made the place their own, with drawings from local artists displayed on the walls and a lilting reggae soundtrack playing in the background.
